If you haven't heard of Coco Chanel, then I don't know which planet you are living in. She is well known for her infamous Chanel No. 5 scent, the Little Black Dress, and the classic Double C logo on every girl's dream bag. Before becoming a legendary fashion designer, she actually has a rags-to-riches back story that Annemarie van Haeringen was able to depict in this illustrated children's book. It's quite a cute story that not only little girls can enjoy, but also their moms. It actually reminded me of Madeline because of the very French feel of the story. It's also a simple way to relay a biography to all the readers out there because it's visually entertaining and concise. I also appreciate the fact that it's empowering little girls to be different and to reach for their dreams.
To sum it up, Coco and the Little Black Dress is a recommended read for both moms and little girls. Perfect to bond over a short story before going to bed. Good job, Annemarie!

My long time dream finally came true last August 27, 2015, when Imagine Dragons decided to include the Philippines to their Smoke + Mirrors Tour! Yay! I remember even telling my friends, Nike of The ElectroMagnetChick and Jovel of The Misadventures of Pooh that without a doubt, I will buy a ticket immediately if Imagine Dragons will hold a concert here and they did. That's why my friends and I ended up buying some Lower Box tickets. But luck came to our side when one of our friends got VIP passes and who can't say no to that. So we decided to give our tickets to our other friends, what can we say, the more, the merrier, eh? Here are the highlights of one of my best nights in 2015!

Most of us have always wondered how would it feel to visit the City of Light, Paris. I know you would all agree that it is a dream. Reading Paris In Style by Janelle McCulloch, made me feel like I was there, too, even if it was just in my imagination. If you are not a local or if you haven't visited the place, then you'll surely appreciate all the tips and information you can get from this book. McCulloch definitely covered fashion, accommodation, shopping, and food. From the locations, promos and deals, the perfect timing to book hotels, etc, you can learn a lot from this book. All the information written are very detailed plus it's accompanied by mesmerizing visuals.
It is a perfect read to take you away to a wonderful place during staycation or to plan out your future Paris trip!

The first few days of January will be a filled with recaps of 2015 events and adventures. Starting off with the annual Avon NASCON event. Just to give you all a background, it's that time of the year where all the franchise dealers and representatives gather in one venue to get the numbers on their sales for the past year, to get updated with the latest products and deals, rewards they can get, and some sneak peek for the new collections that were released last December. Starting my first day of 2016 with a stronger pledge to read more books than usual. As compare to 2014, 22 books read last 2015 is definitely not so bad. Based on Goodreads, I have exceeded my 12 book goal for about 183%! Yay! Check out my year in books:
