The Digital Filmmaking Program of De La Salle- College of Saint Benilde will be launching a more intensive film festival this year, “CineSB (De La Salle College of Saint Benilde Independent Film Festival). Compared to what it offered last year, which is only a competition among the 2012 thesis films of the filmmaking department, the film festival takes on a wider version this 2014.

CineSB (De La Salle College of Saint Benilde Independent Film Festival) will now be running for 2 weeks, kicking off on the 31st of March 2014 and closing on the 11th of April. The festival will also be presenting 4 main events; Cinema Rehiyon 6 goes to CSB, Harvest Moon, Twenty-Kwatro (24), and The Chair.

Aside from these competitions and showcases, there will also be forums, talks, and social events in the course of the festival.

CineSB (De La Salle College of Saint Benilde Independent Film Festival) offers all of this because of a common goal, which is to voice out to the whole country the deep appreciation of DLS-CSB towards Philippine Cinema.

The Best of Cinema Rehiyon 6 goes to CSB: Every year, the festival showcases a special feature or theme. This year, CineSB (De La Salle College of Saint Benilde Independent Film Festival) will be screening selected films from Cinema Rehiyon 6 and will also be bringing the makers of these films to engage in talks with the participants.

Harvest Moon: Since 2010, the filmmaking department of CSB selects the best undergrad works and compiles it to an esteemed screening. The film students were given the chance to show their films to the whole of CSB. This year, the undergrads of the film department are prepared to show their works to a wider venue.

The Chair: The highlight of the whole festival is the competition of the DLS-CSB ABDFILM thesis films of the past year (2013). All the thesis films that were defended during the year before the festival are qualified to join and will be competing with each other for several awards.

Twenty [24] Quatro: The Inter-School Guerilla Filmmaking Competition of Benilde returns. A group of 4 students is set to produce a film with the consideration of some specific guidelines and objectives and should be passed in no more than 24 hours. This unique competition was going on since 2010 except for 2013. With its break last year, Twenty [24] Quatro is set to come back stronger.
