Everyone must travel through the dark in order to reach the light.

Sometimes it's good to talk about the bad things. It makes them hurt less.
-- Jimena Castillo, Night Shade
No fear, Once you're afraid of something, you attract it into your life. I know. Yeah you try to avoid it. And try to get away from it, and because you're trying so hard, you're always concentrating on it, and the more you concentrate on it, the more you pull it into your life.

It was a good read. Though it was a sad at first because you were longing to see and be with someone who is already dead. But then you're surprised to see that person alive again without knowing that his soul is being used to hurt you. That's what happened to Jimena Castillo, another daughter of the moon with the gift of having or seeing a Premonition. But it will eventually end in a good way. Somewhat the book teaches us how to let go and to move on, and to change ourselves to a better one.

What I wore: purple pullovers and neon headband Forever 21 • blue dress used as a skirt Smart Buy by SM Department Store • floral flats Penshoppe • purple socks 50th Avenue-Robinsons Galleria
I feel inspired today and feel like experimenting because it's my little brother's birthday today! He's now eleven years old and our precious baby is not-so-much-a-baby anymore.

detachable collar Chic Habit
I know I have to make a clash of prints and splash of colors again today when I saw my purple pullovers and blue dress. Because I am a sucker for socks these days, I wore one with my flats and up a notch the outfit by adding my neon headband and detachable collar to the ensemble. I used the black side this time.

I love how it turned out and I love the vintage vibe of this outfit. It also gave off a nerdy chic look. It then reminded me of Zooey Deschanel's style in the TV show, New Girl.

Now that I mentioned it, the TV show's jingle is now playing in my head:
"Who's that girl? Who's that girl? It's Jess."
What do you think?
EZRA FITZ IS IN MY HEAD!!! AGAIN!!!
My dream was the usual theme. Ezra Fitz is (one of my) Dreamland boyfriends, so to speak, that's why it is again, one of my fantasies. Forgive me for having a very creative mind and a very wide imagination.
Here it goes.
We were having an intimate talk when the kissing started. Oh it was good. But suddenly it was raining pretty damn hard. It was pouring over us making Ezra stop and look at the sky.

Then I woke up.
That was short but it was a bliss! ♥

This book focuses about Serena Killingsworth, another daughter, with the gift to read minds, control minds and even to hide memories. She fell in love with a Follower which is a taboo for the Followers of the Atrox. But Serena seem to forgot those memories of her with that Follower.

What I wore: floral dress used as a top Bangkok • lime green shorts SM Surplus • neon headband Forever 21
I wore this outfit on St. Patrick's day and I feel like wearing green. Plus, the colors were perfect for Spring/Summer season. Excuse the background. I wasn't able to go out. I need to be on our booth most of the time.

floral flats Penshoppe
Too bad my shoes weren't seen. But I wore my trusty flats.

So I tried my neon head band today.

I was actually being "O.C." about it. If it looks messy at the back or on the top part.
What do you think?
Revenge is currently one of my favorite tv shows these days. I love the suspense-thrill and mystery. The deception also makes it exciting. Anyhow, maybe because of so much fan-girling on this show, I had a dream about it. As usual, I was on the shoes of Emily Thorn (played by Emily Van Camp).
I think I was running from something or someone. I'm not sure. We were in a deserted place. Very Western setting. I rode the car with Jack Porter--Emily's childhood friend and love in the series. I find it weird because I don't even fancy Jack because I like Daniel Grayson's character better.
So anyhow, I was in a car with him. We stopped in a convenience store and bought some food and all that when the guys who were looking for us came about. So we had to drive fast again ala Fast & the Furious. I think I was not really the one being chased but it was Jack because I think he was a suspect of Tyler's death in the current episodes.
We were driving really fast dodging the bullets that were being fired at us and also the slow cars in front of us.
Everything was happening so fast that I cannot really remember what happened next. All I know is that we stopped. And ran.
I think this dream is an effect of being to giddy for the next episode which will come out today, April 18! Yahoo!
The wait is finally over!

I remembered that I found this book in an article in K-Zone on what to read this month. I personally love mythology. I am fascinated by the stories they bring and the adventures of the gods and goddesses. So when I saw this book, I was curious on what story it has beneath those pages. So I grabbed and bought it immediately.
Well, it was a good read. In a way I got hooked with the story and bought book two to book eleven (I haven't got the chance to read the 12th and 13th book. I think they're phased out :( ).
Basically, it is about four daughters of the moon, daughters of he goddess, Selene, and they need to protect the hope of the people against the primal evil, Atrox. Each book focuses on one daughter and in the first book, it introduces the reader to Vanessa Cleveland who has the gift of Invisibility. The book is all about fighting evil, love, friendship and hope. I can also see that this series also promote women empowerment in a way.

| What I wore: floral polo borrowed from my sister • stripe tank top from Bangkok • floral skirt St. Francis Square • black booties Forever 21 • socks borrowed • bag vintage from Japan |
My outfit inspiration that day was one of Isabelle Fuhrman's outfit for her Seventeen Magazine shoot. It was a clash of prints: 2 different floral designs and stripes.

When I saw her outfit, I actually admired Isabelle's look and transformation. From her role for the movie, The Orphan--where she was still a little kid but very impressive with her acting skills--to the lady we are seeing today in the photo. She is really lovely and the print on print styling was really adorable that I wanted to create a look myself which is also perfect for this season.

I actually had a light bulb moment when I saw my sister's over-sized, floral polo. I just knew what I had to do with it. Like in photo of Isabelle, I was supposed to wear it with shorts but I'm still in search for that perfect floral one so I used my skirt instead. My stripe tank top and black wedges were also the perfect substitute. And because I have a thing with socks (again, which goes way back to my high school years) nowadays, I opted to wear one with my booties.

Just make sure, if ever you'll do the print on print combo, that the prints compliment each other. You don't want to look awkward and over the top. The sizes and the kinds of print also matters when putting it together.

To top it all off, I used my Nyx Louisiana which has a pretty cute shade of pink that really stands out.

Beauty Mark: lipstick Nyx Louisiana
I hope you like my own version of Isabelle Fuhrman's look. :)
