Forgive me for the lack of posts last month. But the break is over and I'll be blogging for good. I created this set for a competition in Polyvore and I can't help but be inspired by these looks. Especially that classes resume today. So today I will launch my version of these outfits in my Back to School Series.

As you can see, I used my beloved red pants again. The ber months is not really that brrrr in our country. It still felt like summer and I can't stop myself for doing another nautical number. Plus the dominant hues, red and blue, are so striking together that it made me think of school for reasons I cannot fathom.
To tell you the truth, I am not the "very girly" type. I see myself as one of the boys. Though I may love shoes, bags, dresses, skirts, accessories and lipsticks, I have always been tomboyish when I was young. I wore sneakers, collect socks and shoelaces with different colors and prints, and wear the regular ensemble of shirts, pants or shorts. Also, there are days when you just want to wear something casual and laid-back BUT there are ways to up a notch the look as you can see below.

The sugar skull set from Jubly-Umph also are the second reason why I decided to have a nautical look. I was in a rush but if given the chance I would've created a pirate-inspired look.

These simple details just show how one look can be transformed to be even better. Honestly, even if I still want to under-dress at times when I am under the weather, my friends often told me that I always look on the go and ready for something, whether it is an event or just a night out, even if I am just wearing leggings, tank top and a polo. Well, that is because I still want to look my best and sometimes I just don't see myself wearing a shirt and shorts and that's that. You know what I mean.
Currently, I am still not a pro when it comes to putting make-up and fixing my hair in different styles. I guess, I still have that inner tomboy in me. I hope you don't associate something else about me just by using that term. Haha.
By the way, I called this look Manic Monday because you know how we treat this day. We all do not look forward to it because it is the day after the weekends, and the day we usually cram after hibernating from being productive. I remember my first day in the university. How it was so hectic because I need to get lots of readings and requirements. So I guess this outfit can make you run from one building to another.
