What I wore: top Betty (SM Girls Teens' Wear) • Burning Fire leggings c/o Romwe

Finally an outfit post! After posting book reviews consecutively, I hope you'll also enjoy one of the looks I mixed and matched this year. I wore this last May after my high school friends and I had our overnight stay at a hotel (as I mentioned in this post). I told myself that I should bring something comfortable because for sure we will all be tired after all the catching up we will do and of course, the lack of sleep. It ain't no overnight stay if you sleep all day. I just have to make that rhyme. Anyway at the same time, I wanted it also to be striking.
DETAILS:

bowler hat SM Accessories (Kids section)

(L-R) purple bangle bought in Palawan • pink ribbon ring Forever 21 • watch Swatch New Gent Edition • satchel gift from a friend

sandals SM Parisian

Bold colors and print will definitely make an outfit stand out. Also accessories definitely help in achieving the look. Aside from the galaxy print leggings, I used loud colors like violet, purple and pink. I also made sure that the hues all compliment each other to avoid overdoing it.

The weather that day was also difficult to predict that's why it was also a good thing my outfit was just perfect for both a sunny and rainy day. It did rain after I took these photos at home. At least I didn't have to be bothered when it's too hot or too cold.

In addition, I clearly enjoyed creating this look. It emanated a very youthful aura. I think the color play also helped. It reminded me of being a kid--full of innocence, playful, ready to run under the sun and just enjoy life. Despite being 22, I guess I still feel like a child at times. I appreciate cartoons, children's books, toys, and enjoy games. I'm no rush to grow up or to take life seriously. Well, in a sense that I'm not ready to take the next step that some people in my age venture on though I absolutely know my priorities: family, career, and my dreams to come true. I'm happy to explore and discover more, to risk and to take adventures without something holding you back. I am so ready to go outside my shell that I am claiming this as my year. But of course, Thy will be done. :)

Well, I think this sunny disposition should be contagious so I am sharing them to you. We're already in the second quarter of the year and I might have my ups and downs, but I am still grateful for everything. The failures and mistakes should be diverted as motivation and inspiration that will result to new learning and experiences. I am happy that God has given me so many blessings this year, whether it may be in the form of material or abstract things, opportunities, and people. Don't let the bad vibes take over. Remember that you can always overcome it and if there are people who gives you this kind of emotional baggage, you can always cut them loose. Because in the end, those people who inspires you and loves you are the only ones that matter.

Wishing you all a positive week ahead and of course, a great day! ♥
