In this post, I will introduce to you my nail color for January 2013 which was Butter London's Trustafarian. I actually won this and another color from Blushing Noir's giveaway. It arrived last December and opened it as one of the gifts I received for Christmas.

PACKAGING

It has the square type glass which only a few beauty brands use. I love the fact that it has a secure cap aside from the one which the nail polish brush is usually attached to. It is very tight that I had a hard time to open it. On the other hand, it will avoid messy spills which is a waste for a lovely polish like this. This is funny but I actually had a hard time opening it due to the very invisible tape that my eyes refused to see it. Anyway, you don't have to twist and turn the first cap since there is a sign that says "Lift to open." I also adore its name. I think it is very unique and has a very strong ring to it.

QUALITY

It doesn't chip easily and really lasts long. Fair enough, I had a lazy habit of wearing them for a very long period of time which is bad for my nails and very unlady-like (I will be changing it that I made a vow with myself that I will remove it as soon as it chips). But it did last longer than expected since the color was very light and only applied a very thin coat. I also did not apply a colorless top coat but it still appeared shiny. It somehow contradicts the strong pursuit the name gives. I don't know. That's just me.

COLOR

The color was sea green with glitters to add sparkle. It was lighter than expected. I actually thought it would be a murky green but lighter with a touch of glitters. I applied two coats already and still, the color was light. I did not want to apply another because if it got too thick, it will be easily smudged.

VERDICT

To end this, I think it will be perfect for those who love lighter shades or neutral ones on your nails (like my mom). Though personally, I prefer striking colors because I believe that it compliments my skin tone by highlighting it. I guess I will be using this again in the future but I will definitely use a darker and similar shade as base coat then applied this on top. I think that will make the color pop even more.

Again, I've been in search for a dress or a top with a scarf print. Imagine the glee I experienced when I saw this dress. It is available in three colors but this one is more striking than the others. Plus, it was perfect for the pantone this year.

I saw the hat in the kids' section and I just can't resist it. I was planning to buy the black one but when I went back, it was already out of stock. So I guess I should explore more colors by choosing purple. Also I finally got myself a bow tie after searching for it for years.

We got this after we reached a certain amount of purchase which I cannot remember. I've been having short-term memory gap recently. I guess it's because of the lack of sleep. Anyhow, we got another in pink and in emerald green, too.

2 Butter London nail polish & a letter from Blushing Noir

I was in awe when I received this package! Look at the color of the packaging on the first photo plus the cute animal print pack enclosing the nail polishes. I also won this in a giveaway, this time of Blushing Noir. I love the colors and I can't wait to use them. What was really heart-warming was the letter included in the package. I think it makes things more sentimental.

I was planning to buy the Sensei shoes designed by Rajo because I love shoes that are really unique and scene-stealing but all the pairs left were chipped and has damages that I was planning to swallow and take just to get a pair. My sister talked me out of it and brought me back to my senses. So I didn't. In turn, I got myself two pairs which I saved and hoarded since they were the last pairs as well. These served as my parents gift to me this Christmas. They also gave me a gift certificate for my birthday that I wasn't able to include here.

2013 Starbucks Planner in Green

This was given to me by my sister, Arianne and it was perfect since I needed it now in my life. I need to be more organized. I also got a Beauty & Butter unlimited manicure from her but I wasn't able to post it here.

These are a sweet gift from my dear friend and owner of Love Lila, Sameena Bruce. This should have arrived earlier last year but for some reason it reached another city and took a long time to be correctly sent to me. Oh well, at least I have it now.
