When you've been trying to finish a very serious book and you haven't read for quite some time now, a kawaii (cute) graphic novel is a good way to take your mind off things. Miho Asada's Disney Manga - Stitch Best Friends Forever! is such an adorable read. It's short, sweet, and entertaining. I found myself smiling and laughing with some of the conversations between Stitch and the other protagonist, Yuna, and even their misadventures.
Stitch is such a fan character that you won't be able to get enough of him. I love how he's still unaccustomed to some of the most mundane things we, humans, do. It triggers his curiosity and he will always find a way to learn or try it. If it leads to disaster, he will damn sure make up for it. What a cutie! It's also nice to see familiar faces like Jumba and Pleakley. It made me miss the movie and the series. You might be wondering where Lilo is. Unfortunately, she's not in the manga. I know it feels like it won't be complete without her but thank God Yuna is there to fill in the gap. She's gentle, she loves the sea, and she is a good friend to Stitch.
Plot wise, I was expecting one whole story but this manga actually holds short stories for the readers to enjoy. You can see how Stitch's character will progress while adjusting in a new world and culture. Plus it can be shared and enjoyed by children and kids' at heart. Overall, it's a nice addition to your growing manga collection or a good starter for first-timers.

Books
Since I'm the worst reader awardee this year (don't throw stones at me huhu), I'm just gonna share with you the ones I'm interested in reading and the #Bookgasm content I posted this year (click the books to know more and the book names for the reviews).
It felt like November, December, January, February, and March were too short but I hope that I was able to spend it well. Wow. I still can't believe it's April already and we're in the second quarter of the year. I know it's been a while and I'll be sharing with you a bulk of what happened, what I did, and all of my musings for the past months in just one post. I hope you'll read it 'til the end.
Books
I'm so bad at reading these days that the only book I finished in a span of October 2016 to March 2017 is My Neighbor Totoro. I KNOW RIGHT!?!?! I don't even understand how I cannot finish a book lately. I wish I can really squeeze in some reading time on a normal and daily basis.
That's why in advance, I want to take this time to apologize to all the publishers who have been contacting me for blog tours, reviews, and spotlight features. I'm sorry for the delays and for not being able to respond as soon as I can but I want you to know that I'm really trying my hardest to be consistent and to accomplish everything.
Anyhoo. I'm currently reading the following awesome books:
I haven't updated my Goodreads yet, but I did some reading during my trip last week. I do it alternately so I can accomplish my goal for this year. (Oh please, help me reach it!)
Music
I'm pushing myself to discover more music and to catch up with the new releases. I've been a laggard ever since Grooveshark left me. Huhu I know. So my current jam is just the Global Top 50 of Spotify. I don't know. I just don't feel like thinking and curating my music lately. Tough times.
Games
I stopped playing a lot of games for a bit due to my schedule but I tried keeping up with my Disney Emoji Blitz. I love how I can play it even offline and while on the plane.

As you all know I'm a TV show buff. I binge-watch everything and almost every time as long as I can. So here are the shows I recently watched and discovered (and some I forgot to share in the past few months):

TV Series
As you all know I'm a TV show buff. I binge-watch everything and almost every time as long as I can. So here are the shows I recently watched and discovered (and some I forgot to share in the past few months):
- 666 Park Avenue: I rewatched the show and I finally got to finish it. It was good while it lasted. It had so much potential. I wish it had a bigger fanbase because I feel like the series can show so much more. It was intriguing, scandalous, and dark. But too bad it got canceled and too bad on how they ended things.
- Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events: One of the shows I fell in love with this year. I'm totally hooked and I can't wait for more. I can confidently say that it's better than the movie version and a good adaptation of the book series. Also, love Neil Patrick Harris. He's definitely the heart of this show.
- American Horror Story: Freak Show Season 4: I'm currently catching up on the show just so I can purge it out of my hard drive. But I seriously still can't understand the hype. It's more of in the disgusting spectrum rather than the creepy and terrifying side I expected it to be since Season 1. People keep telling me that this season is better and what not (in general), but it's still meh for me. Though I liked the women empowerment depicted in this season but not enough for me to get hooked. I can't wait to finish it and for it to end.
- Arrow Season 4 & 5 (catching up): Finally, I had the urge to finish season 4 and started season 5. It was becoming such a drag. My siblings are telling me that Team Arrow was able to turn things around already in season 5 but I needed more convincing. I was also informed to catch up with the other shows (The Flash, Supergirl, and DC's Legends of Tomorrow) for the interconnecting storyline. Oh well, we'll see.
- DC's Legends of Tomorrow Season 1: Definitely enjoying this show! Love the witty banters of the characters, the personality of each protagonist, and how cool most of them are (*ahem* villains). Love this more than Arrow and Supergirl combined. Seriously.
- Descendants - Wicked World: I haven't seen the live action movie but I'm enjoying the shorts. I've been binge-watching all the Disney shorts and they're all amazing! Love their content! Anyhow, villains rule here. I feel like the kids of the fairy tale protagonists' are all pushovers and whiners. It's a fun cute show!
- Disney Tsum Tsum Shorts: I had the most adorable time watching the Tsum Tsum shorts. Totally cute, easy and quick to watch, plus it's funny! I swear, these 1-minute clips won't hurt your schedule.
- Marvel's Daredevil Season 1: I was actually watching Iron Fist first but I was advised by my brother to watch this first so I can understand the references. Obedient 'ol me followed suit and stopped watching the show below and started this. It's pretty dark and really good. Now I understand why the reviews are soaring high. But I need to rewatch some episodes since I was too preoccupied when I was watching 'em.
- Marvel's Iron Fist Season 1: Good start. Love the action scenes best but I just find the Iron Fist detail too weird. But I can take that. But who would agree to me that Danny Rand and Oliver Queen look so much alike?
- Powerless Season 1: It's a short and funny show. But I'm afraid it won't survive to get a second season. They need an oomph ingredient to it to make the people get hooked.
- Riverdale Season 1: The show that butchered my favorite childhood comics. I haven't gotten a full grasp of it yet. I'm not as hooked as everyone else. I still don't get the obsession. It just reminds me of Pretty Little Liars and Scream altogether while Cheryl tries to be Chanel Oberlin but she's eons of miles away from the latter's wit. The only character I like here is Veronica since she's the closest I can get from the OG. So far, I'm using it as my background whenever I work and blog (like right now).
- PS. I do like Bughead. I guess their light and darkness complements each other. I knew it from the first episode that it will always be Archie and Veronica, as always.
- Santa Clarita Diet Season 1: Want a no-brainer show? Then you can go for the Santa Clarita Diet. It's mind-bogglingly weird but funny, thanks to Drew.
- Smash: Loved this show. It was sad that it got canceled. It was like my free pass to musicals and theater arts. The drama, the songs... It was too good.
- Star Darlings: Love how this reminds me of my Squad in the office (shout out to you guys). It's cute and too girly. I like it! I hope I can get my hands on the books soon!
- Supergirl Season 1: Still too meh for my life. I'm really not a fan of Melissa Benoist and her acting. I just feel that this show is too forced but I need to watch this to catch up with all the crossovers. Ugh.
- That's So Raven Season 1: This show never gets old. I wish the younger generation can enjoy this series, too.
- The Crown Season 1: I don't know with you but there's just something with royal families that always kept me intrigued. So when I found out that The Crown will show the life of the Queen, I definitely can't say no to that. I love how genuine this show is. It's a must see. I promise.
- The Flash Season 3: It keeps getting better but at the same time, it's getting messy and complicated. I hope it's just a setback because I like this show.
- The Royals Season 3: Jasper and Eleanor forever, please.
- Tsum Tsum Kingdom: A much real version of your favorite Tsum Tsum shorts.
- Zoey 101 Season 1: I don't know why I started rewatching this but it was at the bottom of my series list. This is one of my background shows whenever I'm doing something.
Movies
- Beauty & The Beast: It's a nice depiction of my favorite fairy tale. But nothing can beat the OG.
- Lego Batman: Cute fun movie for kids and for all those who are kids at heart.
- Logan: A heartfelt movie. It's like saying goodbye to an old friend. Love the action-packed scenes and it's surprisingly moving.
Events & Trips
- Visited Korea last April 7 until April 14. I love the weather and it's definitely a beauty heaven.
- I'm not really a Youtube person but I've been binge-watching all the Disney content. It's amazing and truly inspiring especially if you are into digital or social media marketing. Make sure to subscribe to their channel.
- Also hooked with my favorite blog to date called The Klog. It's all about Korean skincare and beauty. Also Soko Glam!
- There's a Japanese version too: Tatcha

I re-visited the world of one of my favorite Disney films today--Aladdin. I was sort of feeling low and lazy that I opted to watch this to feel better while multitasking at its finest by blog-hopping and reviving my Youtube account at the same time.
Moving on to the sole purpose of writing this post--on what Aladdin taught me; specifically, Genie. It's hard to pretend to be someone you are not. I imagine it to be so uncomfortable and complicated that eventually, your lies will keep piling up that even you can't keep up. I don't understand why people have to pretend and lie to themselves to fit in when they can always find the right bunch to love them just the way they are.
That's why as I mentioned on a previous post, I don't like it when people try too hard. I don't know if you are too, but I sort of get that strong feeling when people are not being genuine as they project themselves to be. That's why I dodge them whenever I could because I don't have the patience to deal with bull*. I won't even feed their ego and won't play charades of liking them, too, when I really don't. That's how it is and how it should be. We could be civil but not to the extent of being pretentious.
I'm not saying that I am perfect. The thought of trying to be like this and that have swayed my mind before--during the days were peer pressure and temptations were rampant: college. I've been asking myself why I can't go out like how others do it. Would it make me cool and popular, too, if I tried? But I will always be reminded of how a homebody I am. How I enjoy having alone time in my room while reading a good book. How I prefer a gathering at home with friends while catching up, telling random stories, whether it maybe funny or full of nostalgia. How I prefer bonding over board games than drinking the night away. How I prefer singing my heart out in a karaoke without slobbering the microphone with what I ate an hour before. How I can say no to a drink when I don't feel like it. You get the picture.
Disclaimer: The previous paragraph was just an example of how I dealt with the thought of trying to be someone I'm not when the temptation arose.
All I'm trying to say is that, as cliché as it may sound, it's better to be yourself, love yourself more, and try to know yourself. It's not easy, but you'll be surprised on what you can do, what interests you, the changes you'll encounter without truly losing the real you. Like how Aladdin eventually realized that he shouldn't pretend to be a prince just to make Princess Jasmine fall for him. If she truly loves him, Princess Jasmine will love Aladdin whether he truly was a prince or the street rat she knew. With or without your flaws, those who love you will still feel the same way about you.

Are you familiar with Tsum Tsum? It means "stack stack" in Japanese which is based on the Zen art of stone stacking and Disney decided to make a game out of it which you can download on your phone or tablet! I tell you, it's such an adorable game that it got me and my friends hooked! Now, I also got myself these two cuties!

I'm currently taking a break from work and I chose to write a quick post because why not? It's a freakin' long weekend and I should enjoy it once in a while. Also just being true to my oath to write more this year. Anyway, here's one of the toys I got last year. It's probably one of the cutest I could have in my collection. You will see why.
Getting one of the Funko Disney Vinyl Mystery Minis is really like gambling. You may get the common pieces, your least favorite or priority, you can get the same toy, but if you're lucky you can get a rare one. You can see all of them on the back of the box.

My sister, Arianne got invited to the Havaianas First Dibs, an exclusive pre-selling of the Havaianas 2013 collection and she invited me and her best friend KC to attend with her. I was really excited to see the collection since there were hints of Disney characters and I am the biggest Disney fan.
